As part of our ongoing commitment to expanding training opportunities nationwide, Animal Academy is actively working to establish permanent delivery sites in additional states and rural areas. Work Placement & Practical Learning

Animal Academy strongly believes that hands-on experience is the foundation of quality animal care training. Our courses are designed to provide students with real-world learning opportunities, delivered two days per week at permanent work placement sites.

Through this immersive training approach, students:
✔️ Work directly with live animals, rather than simulated environments.
✔️ Develop key industry skills in actual workplace settings.
✔️ Apply their knowledge in real-world situations, ensuring competency across various workplace scenarios.
✔️ Build confidence and adaptability, preparing them for careers in animal care.

Comprehensive & Authentic Assessments

Assessments are designed to ensure students are truly job-ready. They are conducted through:
✔️ Supervisor Observations – Practical tasks are assessed in real workplaces by qualified third-party supervisors.
✔️ Verbal Recordings & Portfolio Submissions – Students provide recorded evidence of their skills, allowing assessors to evaluate real performance in diverse situations.

This approach guarantees valid, authentic, and current assessments, eliminating the risk of AI-generated submissions and ensuring each student demonstrates real, hands-on competence.

Dedicated Support from Supervisors & Assessors

✅ Supervisors: Regular meetings with placement supervisors allow for attendance tracking, progress updates, and hands-on assessment alignment. Their guidance ensures that students gain practical experience that simulations or classroom learning cannot replicate.
✅ Assessors: Animal Academy has dedicated assessors available across our work placement sites in NSW, WA, QLD, and VIC, providing ongoing student support and evaluation.

Our work placement locations are reviewed annually in collaboration with Pet Resorts Australia and our industry partners to ensure students continue to receive the best possible training experiences. As we expand, we are actively working to increase the number of placement locations across Australia, making high-quality animal care education more accessible nationwide.
